STARworks Clay We have been testing and manufacturing local NC clay since March 2009. Currently, we are offering five major blends of clay made in our processing facility. STARwhite 10; a cone 10 white clay; you can fire it up to cone 12; very good for salt, wood and gas firing. STARwhite 6; a cone 6 white clay Okeeweemee 10; light brown with cone 10 reduction; works well in wood, gas and electric kilns Okeeweemee 6; buff colored cone 6 clay Grogeeweemee 10; light brown with cone 10 reduction; 20% more grog than Okeeweemee 10; good for hand-building or slab work; works well in wood, gas and electric kilns Please try them out! STARworks Lamps and Biodiesel Lamp Oil We are now selling lamps and GLO (green lamp oil) in the shop. STARworks Biofuels produces the fuel from used fryer oil collected from local restaurants and bottles it for use as lamp oil, as well as a nontoxic diesel fuel replacement. In the picture, you can see a pint of lamp oil and some lamps we made. GLO also works great as a renewable replacement for petroleum-based tiki torch fuels. |
